Effective Jan. 1, 2023, Seamen’s Bank will no longer charge consumer and business customers overdraft and non-sufficient funds (NSF) fees as well as any fees associated with insufficient funds and uncollected funds.

The bank said this step was taken to further demonstrate its commitment to its customers and community members by responding to their financial needs.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the bank temporarily waived fees associated with overdrafts to acknowledge the financial challenges of their customers and community members.

“Our responsibility as a community bank is to identify the products and services that will best support our customers’ as they navigate their path to financial security,” said Lori Meads, President and CEO of Seamen’s Bank. “The elimination of these fees is the Bank’s way of providing continued support to our local businesses, non-profit organizations, and families in our community.”

Seamen’s Bank has five offices serving businesses, families, and individuals from Provincetown to Dennis. For more information, visit www.seamensbank.com.
