ROCKLAND, MARSHFIELD, MA ISSUED OCTOBER 11, 2024… The South Shore Food Bank, working in partnership with the Greater Boston Food Bank to improve food access on the South Shore, help address food equity across towns, and help make fresh options more readily available to families relying on food pantries to meet their needs, is pleased to announce Steve Kielty of Marshfield, Massachusetts, as warehouse manager.
In this crucial role, he ensures the smooth operation of the food pantry with duties that include the receipt and inspection of food products, inventory control, product flow, quality control, order fulfillment, general maintenance, and oversight of sanitation.
Kielty joined the organization as a warehouse employee in September of 2023. He previously operated his own business in food service logistics, primarily in consumables for the restaurant industry and small grocery stores and food purveyors.
“Steve was a great addition to our team from the moment he stepped onto the warehouse floor a year ago,” said Pamela Denholm, executive director of the South Shore Food Bank. “We are excited to have him in his new role as warehouse manager!”
Kielty makes his home in Marshfield with his wife Lisa and their three sons. In his spare time, he enjoys activities with his family and coaching his sons’ baseball, football, and basketball teams.
