South Shore Young Professionals (SSYP), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve as the leading resource for the personal and professional development of the individual by means of community involvement, networking, and education, is offering a $7,500 grant to businesses on the South Shore.

This grant program was established in 2012 and is designed to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation through financial assistance, mentorship, and support.

“The Foundation Grant is a great opportunity for our organization to support some of the exciting young businesses throughout our communities along the South Shore,” said Bill Kingdon, chair of SSYP. “We’ve been fortunate to award previous grants to phenomenal organizations like Rustic Marlin, AMG Snacks, and South Shore Children’s Chorus, just to name a few, and are looking forward to awarding this year’s grant at our Holiday Party in December!”

Any business that is a member of SSYP, has been in business for seven years or less, and is located on or operating on the South Shore is welcome to apply. There is no age requirement for this grant, and applicants are welcome to become a member of SSYP today to be eligible for the grant.
