Barnstable Land Trust recently welcomed Sue Dahling Sullivan of Mashpee as their new Director of Communications.

A seasoned nonprofit professional, Sullivan will focus on the depth and breadth of the trust’s communications campaigns and community engagement efforts with an emphasis on public awareness, programming and partnerships, and community outreach efforts.

With more than 30 years of nonprofit management experience, Sullivan has worn many hats within organizations focused on growth, innovation, transformative strategic planning, and best practice governance. Having worked for Harvard University, Boston Lyric Opera, the USS Constitution Museum, and Apple Computer in the past, she most recently was Chief Strategic Officer/Chief of Staff at the Boch Center (Wang) in Boston, a nationally recognized performing arts center. There she developed ArtWeek, a community initiative, into an award-winning statewide arts festival celebrated in 170 towns including many on Cape Cod.

Sullivan has also served on the Business, Government, and Society Advisory Board at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business where she received her MBA; has published several articles on nonprofit best practices, and been a speaker and guest lecturer at various colleges and conferences.
