Take Care Cape Cod Launches Facemask Initiative

Take Care Cape Cod is launching a program to increase reusable facemask wearing to help ensure the health and safety of the community.

Masks and gaiters may be purchased through the website takecarecapecod.org/store and a portion of each sale will provide funding for Take Care’s environmental efforts such as water filling stations and cigarette butt collectors. Masks may also be purchased at checkout to be donated to support local front-line daycare workers and early childhood educators. Donated masks will be distributed through the Cape Cod Reopening Task Force and Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment. All masks are made in the USA.

Take Care COVID messages such as “Everybunny wears a mask on Cape Cod”, “Masking for a friend” and “Only spreading good vibes” are available and may be downloaded for free by anyone who requests the Take Care Cape Cod Toolkit. Barnstable County and the Cape Cod Chamber have been working with Take Care by sharing some of the printed messages. The 8 ½-by- 11-inch posters may be picked up at local chambers of commerce offices throughout the Cape.
