The Chatham Wayside Inn Donates To Food Pantries, Organizations

The Chatham Wayside Inn at 512 Main St.,  Chatham, and owners David and Gail Oppenheim donated $5,000 worth of food to the Chatham Food Pantry at Chatham Elementary School in support of local families this past week.

The Chatham Food Pantry was cut off from state food pantries because they aren’t an official pantry, however they are currently providing local families with lunch and breakfast.  In addition, The Wayside Inn and the Oppenheims donated $5,000 to Monomoy Community Services in Chatham to purchase Stop & Shop gift cards for those in need during the pandemic. Monomoy Commmunity Services is a local family resource center which provides childcare, social services and financial support to residents of Chatham.

If you would like to donate to the Chatham Food Pantry or Monomoy Community Services, contact Theresa Malone at tmalone@monomoy.org or visit www.monomoy.org.
