The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod is launching their 7th annual Stuff-a-Stocking toy drive to benefit local children. Each of The Coop’s nine branches and it’s satellite branch in the King’s Way development in Yarmouth Port will have a giant stocking for Cape Codders to fill with new, unwrapped toys for families in need across the Cape.
“During this time of year, we recognize that the need is felt greater for families who struggle to make ends meet,” said Lisa Oliver, President and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. “As a community bank, it’s our mission to support our community.”
The beneficiaries for this year’s Stuff-a-Stocking are The Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod, The Cape Cod Military Support Foundation’s Operation Santa Claus, and the United States Marine’s Toys for Tots program.
“Partnering with The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod for this event is vital for us to be able to provide this much-needed service to children on Cape Cod,” added Ruth Provost, Executive Director of The Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod. “It’s wonderful to see the glowing faces on the children when they receive the over-flowing stockings!”
The Coop will be accepting donations until Friday, December 15th.
