The Mashpee Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations for its 2024 Citizen of the Year and New Business Awards

Mashpee, MA – The Mashpee Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for our 2024 Citizen of the Year and local business awards to honor those that have gone above and beyond in serving their community.  All award winners will be recognized at the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting Dinner at The Club at New Seabury on March 27rd at 5:30 pm. A nominee for Citizen of the Year should be a businessperson, public servant, or non-profit representative whose leadership performance and influence enhances the growth and visibility of business in Mashpee. They should be someone who has made a lasting impact on the community and distinguished themselves through volunteerism above and beyond their paid profession.

Unsung Heroes: All of us in Mashpee rely on the incredible support of our community’s essential workers. From grocery store clerks, bank tellers, medical professionals and assistants to teachers, bus drivers and more, these individuals work on the frontlines every single day, caring for us in ways big and small. We would like to recognize these often overlooked Unsung Heroes of Mashpee.

 

Start-Up of the Year: Will be awarded to a Mashpee Chamber member business less than 2 years old that has achieved outstanding success and/or made a notable impact on the community. This award recognizes a small business that has demonstrated growth and success in the areas of economics, job creation, and market demand. Every start-up has its own journey to success, and nominees of this award should demonstrate a path of growth, resiliency, strong business practices, and job creation.

 

Community Impact Award: An organization that has exhibited excellence beyond mission in the community. This award is presented to a business that has gone beyond its own mission to do more for others and make Mashpee a better place to live, work, and/or visit.  Nominees must have shown impact of their philanthropy and responsibility to their community.

 

Business of the Year: Nominees must be an active business within Mashpee, a Mashpee Chamber member in good standing, and be a successful and active member of the community. Nominees must have been in business for at least 3 years and must have demonstrated at least 3 of the following: revenue, jobs growth, innovative products or services, exemplary customer service, professional development for staff, volunteers in Mashpee.
