The Moorings Receives Close To $478,000 In Utility Upgrades

Real estate and property management firm Peabody Properties (www.peabodyproperties.com) has announced that The Moorings at Squantum Gardens in Quincy has completed nearly $478,000 in electrical and gas upgrades through funding from the Massachusetts LEAN Multifamily Program (www.leanmultifamily.org).

Installation of $430,000 in gas upgrades was completed in June 2021. Electrical upgrades funded through LEAN totaling $47,722 are ongoing.

“In the spring of 2021, we had a system failure resulting in the loss of one of our boilers,” said Kerri D’Amico, director of capital planning at Peabody Properties. “The LEAN Program and ACTION, Inc. (www.actioninc.org), answered our call for help and were instrumental in us being able to maintain a level of comfort for our residents.”
