EF Senior Care, a provider of exceptional senior living services, has announced the appointment of Luanne Westman as Director of Nursing at The Terraces Orleans.
In this role, Westman will oversee all aspects of nursing care, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care delivery to the Terraces’ residents.
With more than four decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Westman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to The Terraces. She holds a bachelor of science degree in Nursing from UMass Dartmouth and a master’s degree in Public Administration/Healthcare Administration from Suffolk University.
After graduating from Boston Children’s Hospital School of Nursing, she worked her first job at Massachusetts General Hospital on Baker 5, an oncology unit, and continued her acute care nursing practice at Cape Cod Hospital for another five years.
For the last 20 years, she has worked in upper management for six Cape Cod long-term care facilities. She is experienced with regulatory requirements and organizational development. Her specialties include infection prevention, dementia training, clinical competencies and IV certification.
As the Director of Nursing, Westman will work closely with The Terraces’ interdisciplinary team to promote resident well-being and ensure that the highest standards of care are upheld. She will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing nursing policies, protocols and training programs to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
