White Wood Kitchens received a Silver Award at the 2021 Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod’s annual BRICC Awards.
Designer Paul Machado of White Wood Kitchens in Sandwich received a BRICC Silver Award for his design for the “Transitional Ridge Project” in the Kitchens Under $60,000 category.
Machado transformed a large Tuscan-style, rectangular space with outdated cabinetry and layout into a more open, transitional design featuring Fieldstone white Shaker door cabinets with brushed nickel hardware, quartz countertops, a full height quartz backsplash and a dramatic 9-foot waterfall island.
“It was important to the client to not only have a timeless kitchen, but also one that functions with her family of young children,” said Machado, who incorporated existing features from the home in the design, including a beautiful transom leading into the kitchen and colonial trim.
The BRICC awards honor excellence in the construction industry and trades. White Wood Kitchens, owned by Gail O’Rourke, has showrooms in Sandwich and Kingston.
