The Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival, an annual festival celebrating women in music, raised over $49,000 for Cape Wellness Collaborative (CWC) at its recent event on Sept. 1.

CWC is a Cape Cod-based 501(c)(3) offering free-of-charge integrative wellness therapies and support for anyone on Cape Cod & the Islands facing cancer.

Inspired to make a difference in her community after losing her mother to ovarian cancer, local musician Sarah Swain created the Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival in 2012. This year’s festival raised the most funds for CWC in the history of the event. Proceeds from the event will go towards CWC’s signature programs (integrative wellness and food delivery services) as well as new initiatives, such as in-person events at their new offices in Yarmouth.

For the past nine years, Cape Wellness Collaborative has provided integrative therapies to Cape Codders facing cancer.  Today, CWC serves nearly 800 people each year and partners with practitioners across the Cape to provide yoga, massage, acupuncture, and other therapies to relieve symptoms and side effects of treatment and recovery.  CWC also offers fresh, handcrafted nourishing meals (over 7,000 served to date) and mental health support group. All programs are free of charge. To learn more, visit https://www.capewellness.org/.
