Wood Palace Kitchens Announces New Ownership As Of January 2024

Wood Palace Kitchens of Middleboro will have a new owner as of January 2024.

Tim Holick, current owner and founder, announced that he will transfer ownership of the 44-year old company to his nephew, Michael Holick. Michael, a resident of Rochester. Michael has been with the company for 33 years, beginning his career with the company in warehousing, then project supervising. Since 2000 he has been one of the company’s top salespeople.

Tim Holick will remain with the company in an advisory role for several years, to help his nephew as he takes the reins of the business.

“I am very pleased that Michael will take the reins of ownership,” said Tim Holick. “It has been the privilege of a lifetime to run this business, work with such great employees, and to help so many wonderful families with their choices for cabinets and kitchen upgrades.” He added, “We are fortunate to have made so many friends over the years.”

He continued, “I have great confidence that Michael will do a great job. With his 33 years experience here, he’s ready to take this next step and I look forward to helping support his efforts.”

Wood Palace Kitchens is a 44-year old company providing turn-key cabinetry solutions and representing five top-quality lines of cabinets and related products. Services include cabinetry, countertops hardware and cleaning products. Wood Palace Kitchens works both with the residential or homeowner market and also with a number of area contractors and builders. Installation work done by Wood Palace Kitchens carries a lifetime warranty.

Wood Palace Kitchens was founded in 1979 by Tim Holick, a former woodworking student and teacher, who began the business as a home-based operation that built customized cabinets for the local market. Over a number of years, he transitioned Wood Palace Kitchens from a manufacturing concern to  a distributor, representing select manufacturers and providing turn-key services for customers, including design, installation and maintenance. Wood Palace Kitchens today has seven full-time employees, and a 5,000-square-foot showroom at 7 Mill St., Middleboro.  The company has a consistent, ongoing relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, providing a portion of each sale to that foundation. Wood Palace Kitchens hosts ongoing events at its showroom.
