Learn More About Paid Family Leave Act In Free Webinar

The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce and Massachusetts Small Business Development  Center invites entrepreneurs to attend a small business development virtual experience, “Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML)”  Thursday, Jan. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. This program is free.
Join Wendy Hansen, an attorney for Foley & Foley, PC, for an overview of the Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave law that started on Jan. 1, 2021.
Hansen will review the:
  • Types of leave
  • Employee eligibility
  • Definitions of a serious health condition and family member
  • Application process
  • Role of the Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML)
  • Employer, job protections, wage calculations, and exempt plan requirements
She will also hold a Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
